Icky Bug Book Giveaway: Introducing Insects to Little Ones

I love this little board book so much that it gets its own entry on my blog. :)

The Icky Bug Alphabet book is a great way to introduce your little ones to insects without overwhelming them. This book has clear illustrations with simple text that will appeal to even young school age children.

Insects can be a little creepy and scary to some young ones so perhaps having a book that presents them in a non-threatening way they will avoid the apprehension that many of us have about creeping and flying insects.

In fact, I love this book so much that I am going to give one away! Please see the Rafflecopter gadget in this entry for more details. Act fast because the giveaway will end on October 1, 2012 at Midnight!

Please note that the giveaway is only open to US residents and I cannot ship outside the US. See the Rafflecopter gadget for the complete terms and conditions.

  1. You know I want this book, Barb. I have 3 little ones--7, 5, and 2. My 5 and 2 year olds still read board books. And our family *loves* bugs. We are always looking for new books to incorporate bugs into our days. :)
    Thanks for offering this book.

  5. Hi! :) I'm a fairly new reader...and was just popping online this morning to leave you a comment, to say thanks for all of the wonderful challenges/lesson plans and helps you have put together, here! I'm using an alphabet-themed unit study with my preschool boys this year (although, all my kids join in with some of our studies!). Your challenges fit right into each of our letter-units, and we're looking forward to joining in the linkups here! What a tremendous help your blog has been. :)
So I am doubly excited to read your alphabet-themed book recommendation today! Thanks for offering this giveaway.
    Blessings to you,
    Collette

  48. My (almost) 2 year old was stung by a bee a couple of weeks ago, and is now terrified of any and all insects and bugs. We have been trying to talk about things like ants, ladybugs, and flies as she encounters them, but I think something like this book would be a much less scary thing for her.
