99 Outdoors Sorts of Things to Do

My husband and I were inspired by another meme to make up own of our own.

We sat under a blanket one cold morning over the winter break and compiled a list of:
99 Outdoor Sorts of Things to Do

It was fun to randomly list 99 things we have done or would like to do. We decided to narrow the list to things to do in the United States so feel free to use our list or come up with one of your own! We have not done or experienced all the things on the list *yet* but it is fun to think about how we could check some of the items off the list in the future. If you take the list and post it on your blog, please leave me a comment so I can come and see which things you have completed. We marked our completed items with a star.

  2. Hey! I love this list. I'm happy to say I've done a lotof them and now I'm inspired to participate in this meme. It's a perfect follow-up to a post I wrote on new year's day. I recommended than families spent more time outdoors, appreciating nature (and each other) and nurturing the scientific mind of their children. After all, observation (see, touch, taste, hear, smell) is THE Foundation of scientific inquiry (and curiosity).

I also wanted to let you know that I've given you an Uber Amazing Blog Award. Check out the deets:

  6. Hi Candace, Glad you like the list. It was really fun to put together with DH.

    Lynn, You are very welcome.

Denise, You are right....observation is the basic idea! More time outdoors is always encouraged around here.

MomToCherubs, I look forward to reading your post.

  8. Barb,

I love your blog! I have just recently found it and I am excited to start the outdoor challenges. I am also doing the winter study with my little one.

I love this list! We have done most on this list. And you can fry an egg on the sidewalk. We lived in Phoenix 10 years ago and during VBS one year this was an activity that my oldest son did! I think it was about 115 degrees out!

    Love, Heather

  12. Fun list

If you ever lived in Phoenix in the summertime, you would not ask if a fried egg could actually be made on the sidewalk. Si, si, senora.
