Wildflowers-Almost Summer Edition

I had a very busy weekend and I will have a very busy week as well. I have been trying to keep my camera at hand to keep up with all the amazing things going on both in our yard and on the trail.

Here are few images from this week's walks. Make sure to click the images to enlarge and see all the little creatures that are hiding among the flowers.

Keep up with your outdoor time, even if it is for a few minutes each day. Go outside early if you are having summer heat already. You could even enjoy a beautiful sunset. My boys have slept outside quite a few nights since we finished with school and they really enjoy that part of our summer tradition.

    What is the flower on the bottom? It's so beautiful!
    I'm glad you made us study raccoons. My husband found two baby raccoons on the road last night. they are TOO cute and I'm about to call the rehabber. Last week it was a baby red tail .. this week raccoons.

    The last flower is Purple Milkweed! It is gorgeous and the first and only time I have seen it in our area.

    Oleander Aphids!! They must love milkweed :)

    Christine, I just changed the header photo yesterday. :)

    It is the southern Oregon coast where we just went camping...gorgeous wildflowers were everywhere!
