Outdoor Hour Seasonal Study: Trees and Weather

I just finished putting together a brand new PDF on Lulu.com for the Outdoor Hour Challenges. It gathers all the seasonal tree and weather study challenges into one document for you to download for free.

It includes Challenges #11, #20, #36, #39, #40, and #47 all into one easy to print document.

I am going to be deleting the files from SaveFile.com. If I missed a link within the challenges on the blog, please remember that all the downloads will eventually be available over on Lulu.com and they will be listed on the right sidebar of my blog.

I am trying to streamline things a bit.

Hope this helps some families with their nature study.

  1. Hey, thanks so much!! I have no idea about filesave or lulu, nor have we nature journaled yet! Alas, everyone begins somewhere, eh? First year homeschoolers here!! Thus far, our second week has been fantastic and I cannot wait to incorporate nature studies. :o) Do you think us living in the desert will have any bearing on us being successful at nature journaling? Thanks for any input or advice!

  2. Welcome Shannon,

Some of our best nature study has been in the desert! If you read through my blog you will find entries for the Mojave Desert, the Sonoran Desert, and Death Valley.

Just keep your mind and eyes open. Here is a page I wrote about desert nature study:

    Hope that helps.

  4. I was just wondering what/ how I was going to go about implementing outdoor hour number 11! Once again you have provided a wonderful resource to point us in the right direction. I am looking forward to starting this seasonal study next week. It is almost spring here so I reckon that is really nicely timed too.
Thank you Barb. I really appreciate your support in helping us (they aren't all that naure- ish)learn how to appreciate nature!
