October Pumpkin Study and Recipes

Pumpkin Time! Our family loves pumpkin and now that the kids are all grown and we have studied pumpkins up close and personal many times, our favorite way to include a little pumpkin in our life is to eat it!

Here are some of our favorite pumpkin recipes.

Pumpkin Bread - no raisins, whole wheat flour
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars - new recipe that is going to be a favorite
Pecan Pumpkin Surprise - we use this recipe and add 1/2 cup pecans
Pumpkin Pancake -we don't use allspice and we top with butter and a little powdered sugar instead of syrup

I found this board on Pinterest with awesome looking pumpkin recipes...too many I like to even know where to start! I am now following this Pinterest board so I don't miss any recipes. I like to use pumpkin all year long so this board is going to keep me supplied with plenty of things to try.

  1. Barb, Herewith a link to a pumpkin children's drawing and its story.
It goes without saying I love pumpkins a lot: to draw them, to admire their intense orange colour and to admire them in a children's drawing.

  2. Oh, yum. I just pinned about a million and a half of your recipe ideas. We are all about the pumpkins right now, too. Pumpkin festivals and patches and cooking and carving. It's all I've been blogging about lately! :)
