How fun, I have on our Not Bummer Summer calendar to camp in the backyard Saturday :) Now we have to wait and see if the wildfires calm down and the smoke goes away.
I'm going to be honest here. I'm afraid to camp in my backyard. I just moved into the Ocala National Forest. We have bears, coyotes and water moccasins.
The thought terrifies me. But ya'll have fun with your backyard campout! I'm going to stay in my house. Later this year, I'll camp in this forest. In a cabin.
Raccoons! Love those little guys! We've always had those. Each night in this yard, we see raccoons and armadillos. I know there's a bear and coyotes (so we bring kitties in at night), gators and cotton mouths. I'm sure there's plenty more I haven't met up with yet.
I'm actually excited to learn about all our critter neighbors in the forest here. :-)

ReplyDeleteAbout the scariest thing we have in our yard is raccoons. :)
Maybe you could just spend some time outside after dark looking at the stars and then sleep inside...it could still be an experience.
